The Salvation Army International Development (UK) is part of a world-wide team supporting the battle against poverty in developing countries. We are unique in our approach to poverty alleviation because we are the poor!
Our programmes are designed by the poor for the poor and so are relevant to them. It also means we have a huge army of volunteers which means more of every pound you give, gets to where you really want to see it - changing the lives of the poorest. We guarantee that no less than 95p in every £1 will be used to directly fund projects for people and communities in need in developing contexts. Our work is divided into a number of themed areas. We are committed to being good stewards in the sharing of resources for the work of the international Salvation Army in the developing world, within countries that look to us for support. We do this by raising awareness through advocacy, channelling resources to enable development, building bridges and redressing inequality in practical and financial ways.
We believe with your help we can ‘make a difference’.
