Welcome to the Salvation Army in Macclesfield. We are a lively, welcoming group of christians striving to serve and worship God in our community. Why not come along to our popular CAMEO club (Come And Meet Each Other) on a Tuesday or our coffee mornings on Thursday or Friday.
Our Sunday morning family worship meeting is a great opportunity to meet us as we meet with God. Starting at 10:30am and running for 1 hour, followed by a chance to chat over coffee. With around 50 attending on a typical Sunday, our band leads us in hymns in a meeting combining traditional and contemporary music. Our meetings are structured to be child friendly; children leave part way through for their own Sunday school run by leaders who have carried out safe and sound child protection training. However, if you are visiting us for the first time and you'd prefer to keep the family together, that's fine!
Prayer is at the heart of everything we do on Sundays and throughout the week. If you have an issue you would like prayer for, please let our corps officer (minister) know or e-mail us at the above address.
The renovations to our grade II listed building are now complete. You can see some pictures of the new interior in our gallery and building fund pages.
The building was officially re-opened on November 25th 2008 by Major George Pilkington at our 125th anniversary celebration weekend. The opening ceremony was also attended by our Divisional commanders Majors Mel and Kath Jones, The Mayor of the Borough of Macclesfield Councillor Thelma Jackson and Sir Nicholas Winterton MP for Macclesfield.
