What can Employment Plus-PAT Testing do for your business?

Employment Plus provide professional and reliable Portable Appliance Testing, this service is efficient and can be beneficial to landlords, educational institutions, hotels and many other types of organisations.

We believe that everyone should have access to reliable electrical safety testing and we are confident that all businesses that use our service will be pleasantly satisfied.

Why carry out PAT testing (portable appliance testing)?

There is a legal obligation for many businesses, companies and organisations to be cautious and ensure all electrical equipment is maintained, fit and can be used safely for its purpose.
Carrying out PAT testing has become a common practice as regular maintenance checks and inspections to ensure the well being and safety of employers.

What electrical items need to be tested?

Portable electrical items - Any electrical appliance wiring that is connected to the mains via a flexible lead and plug. Although this list is not a specific list, it will give an idea of electronic appliances that should be tested:

  •  Kitchen equipment (kettles, microwaves, vending / coffee machines)
  •  PC's including printers, faxes, scanners, copiers, modems plus all leads.
  •  Power tools including drills, grinders, sanders, electrical saws etc. Most construction site tools will need inspecting every 3 months to comply  with health and safety standards
  •  Landlords may wish to test items such as hoovers, fridges, kettles etc

Smaller businesses may be requested to have their equipment tested by local authorities when using their facilities.

This can effect Party planners, DJ, seminar organisers, training companies and many more businesses.
