LATEST NEWS - MP Lifehouse visits
MP visits to Lifehouses
The Salvation Army was formed in England in 1865 by William and Catherine Booth, who believed that fighting for social justice was an essential part of their Christianity. The organisation that Booth founded is famous for its impact as a Christian church that puts its beliefs into action and is one of the largest providers of social welfare in the UK.

To deliver social justice, churches and charities need to work with decision makers and Government. Together we have a huge impact on the social policy issues facing our country.

The Salvation Army's Public Affairs Team builds relationships at Westminster in the nations and at local Government level. We seek to represent the needs of the poorest and most marginalised from the Town Hall to Whitehall and on to the EU in Brussels.
